The characteristics of NEPE propellant with FOX-7 were calculated and determined by means of energetic calculation, combustion, mechanical and sensitivity determinations.It was found that the oxygen parameter (Φ) and density (p) kept constant (0.56 and 1.80g·em-3), the combustion temperature (Tc)decreased from 3700K to 3592K, the mean molecular weight of combustion gas (Me) slightly increased from 27.28 g·mol-1 to 27.48 g·mol-1 and the theoretical specific impulse (Isp) decreased from 2615N·s·kg1 to 2560N·s·kg-1 by applying increasing FOX-7, which is used to substitute, equivalent HMX, from 0% to34% in the formulation of NEPE propellant.It was also shown that the burning rote increased and the pressure exponents increased from 0.44 to 0.48, the maximum stress of the propellant at +20°C and +50°C increased from 0.84MPaand 0.68MPa to 1.06MPa and 0.75MPa, respectively, while the elongation of the propellant decreased from 64.1-86.1% to 32.5-45.3%, meanwhile the friction sensitivity of the propellant decreased from 100% to 88% and the impact sensitivity(H50) increased from 27.5cm to 38.0cm.
