摘要

American Indian Tribes and Alaskan Natives are important co-regulators in the unified effort to maintain and improve environmental protection and human health. Air pollutants do not respect Tribal, state or federal boundaries. Tribal communities often maintain important traditional environmental knowledge that enriches our collective knowledge in regard to environmental protection. The National Tribal Air Association empowers American Indian Tribes and Alaskan Natives improve air quality, mitigate and adapt to climate change. In addition to this important work, NTAA invites environmental professionals from the A&WMA to learn about and partner with Tribes to advance the quality of the common air all communities depend on and must protect for future generations.
