Nowadays emissions into the atmosphere are regulated and legislations are limiting the level of volatile organic compounds (VOC) that may be emitted during coating application. With respect to Polyurethanes based coatings there are three ways to lower the level of organic solvents emitted from coating formulations: 1. High solid coatings (non-volatile matter: ＞ 70wt.%) 2. Waterbome coatings 3. Solvent-free systems.
