Water pollution management in South Korea is based on the BOD. For the fi rst time in 2004, anattempt was made to quantify the TMDL (Total Maximum Daily Load) for Korea in Kwangju, witha view to improving the water quality. Korea TMDL water quality is to set a goal for permissiblemaximum TMDL that may be accepted as not responsible for pollution hazard. To achieve thetarget water quality predictions for the future would require water quality modeling. Typically, inKorea by applying QUAL2E model prediction and analysis of water quality have been made.However, a continuous dynamic model for water quality prediction and analysis are required,and is preparing to apply. In this study, the amount of water pollution management to evaluatethe HSPF was applied in conjunction with the WASP model. The calculated total pollution loadmanagement in the HSPF simulation were utilized as input data. In addition, agricultural areasin South Korea were separated into rice paddy and upland areas. Landuse were separatedby applying a different parameter. Simulated results from HSPF were inserted into the WASPinput, according to the expected urban development scenarios and the water quality wasevaluated for the Korea TMDL. As a result, the conjoined HSPF and WASP model was appliedcontinuously calculating the pollutant load and can be used to predict will be useful.
