South Korea is considered one of the most rapidly developed countries in the world. RuralKorea has also been changed rapidly during last decades. By the central government’sinvestment for agricultural infrastructure, agricultural and rural development has been highlyinfl uenced.Agricultural infrastructure includes agricultural water development, irrigation and drainagesystem, farm road, farmland improvement, etc. For the study, Yeongsan river basincomprehensive agricultural development projects were reviewed. Secondary data wereanalyzed to identify the effects of agricultural infrastructure development in the project area.The results of the study show that the improvement of agricultural infrastructure has contributedto the increase of farmland area, agricultural productivity, and farm income, industrial andregional development.
