Hybrid magnets were produced from a mixture of commercial NdFeB ready to press powder (MQEP Magnequench - obtained by melt spinning) and strontium ferrite powders used for making anisotropic sintered commercial magnets. Samples with different amounts of ferrite powders have been prepared and tested. For the preparation they were uniaxially pressed at room temperature. The relationship between fabrication process, magnetic properties and microstructure was studied based on the results obtained in a hysteresis graph, optical microscope and X-ray diffraction. The coercivity mechanisms were discussed.
