In this study, an electrochemical testing method is studied and intented bo be used for online monitoring for corrosion control in pipelines of produced water reinjection in Shengli Oilfield. Corrosion inhibitors are used in the pipeline. The factors that affect the corrosion rate are invesitigated in laborotary, including temperature, flow velocity, pH and NaCl concentration. Corrosion inhibitors are assessed and their effectivness are monitored using the electrochemical testing method. An on-line corrosion monitoring scheme is designed to monitor the corrosion state and inhibitor performance of the pipeline. This new method can assess the quality of corrosion inhibitors and their ant-icorrosion efficiency instantaneously.
