Influence of Chinese and Western Cultural Modes upon Modern Urban Landscape Designing

摘要

Excellent urban landscape depends on the good cooperation between the decision-makers, the designers and the users. The universality and uncertainty of the users make landscape designing established in the different cultural customs and necessities of the urban citizens. Landscape as a characteristic social "product" shakes off the utilitarian and marketwise aesthetic appreciation orientation of the commercial products, focusing more attention on the urgent needs of the citizens and the integral quality of the urban space. This paper taking the public spacial landscape designing，analyses various advantages and disadvantages such as the disjunction of the form and functions of the current urban landscape designing, discusses the impact of the cultural mode of the citizens on landscape designing and brings forward the working mechanism.
