The purpose of this paper is to present the main types of structural systems and building with wood roundwood from reforestation in Brazil. The use of timber structural elements of reforestation in Brazil has grown over the past few years because of research carried out in order to make it more competitive with a material over other materials used in structural function. As a building material, wood is abundant reforestation versatile and easily obtained. In general, the structural elements are circular bars of variable cross section of wood from eucalyptus and pine. By joining these bars can be formed compositions of simple elements or compounds. The different arrangements of these bars allow a range of types of structural systems with this material. Examples are given of a range of projects and constructions, such as electrification poles, sheds type portico, retaining walls, bridge beams, bridges timber mixed concrete, bridges with cable stays, residential housing with beam columns and porticos, residential log home, hyperbolic paraboloic roofing, observation towers and others with structural systems and constructed from roundwood originating from reforestation (eucalyptus and pine trees) built in Brazil. The study has the objective of publicizing the possible techniques and alternatives in the field of structures and construction using roundwood from reforested wood, providing savings and benefiting the environment in a sustainable manner, and promoting the regeneration cycle of forests.
