In the paper, we consider an issue of the tangential component of the scattered field of a perfect conductor. Assume that the surface of the conductor is smooth and has a first-order smooth point. We prove that the tangential component of the scattered field at the point is infinite if the surface current density at the point is nonzero. By the boundary condition, we conclude that the surface current density at the point should be zero.
