Colleges Economies of Scale Analyzing Based on Computer

According to the statistics, by using the data of 560 colleges, this article analyses the scale of them. First, we use the classical Economies of Scale Model to analysis.We get: about 21% colleges have reached the optimal scale and 60% colleges have expansion spaces from different extent.Second, combined with the number of teachers, we make a further analysis of the proportion of teachers and students (StudentTeacher Model) and get that colleges need expand scales on the whole.Third, we analyze the proper characteristics of Non-university Tertiary.At last, combined with the conclusions based on data, we make suggestions on policy.
