INDUSTRIAL STRUCTURE, RETURN ON CAPITAL AND THE EVOLUTION OF LABOR SHARE--Empirical Analysis Based on Inter-province Panel Data of China

摘要

From the view of relation between the industrial structure and the return on capital, this article constructs empirical models between the evolution of labor share and the variations of industrial structure and return on capital, takes advantage of the panel data of China's 30 regions in 1993-2007 to test the relations between variables in the empirical model, and decides the causes and functional mechanism of the evolution of labor share. It is proved by the study results that the variations of industrial structure and return on capital are the important factors for the evolution of labor share.
