Critical success factors of enterprise resource planning implementation in China: Case study in Shanghai city, China

摘要

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) plays an important role in today's enterprise management and is beginning to be the backbone of organizations. This paper attempts to seek possible reasons for major international ERP vendors not being able to dominate the Chinese ERP market and discuss critical success factors affecting ERP systems implementation success in China. An experience survey using a questionnaire was conducted to verify whether these Critical Success Factors (CSFs) are also important and relevant for Chinese enterprises in Shanghai City.
