The logistics industry is an important industry for the national economy and now becoming a new economic growth point. This paper stresses that the quantitative validation of the economic value of the logistics industry is quite essential. Firstly, the paper establishes the mathematical model between the economic development and logistics industry based on statistics for 1991-2008 and takes the total value of social logistics as the explanatory variables. Secondly, the paper establishes the mathematical model between the economic development and logistics based on GDP as the being explanatory variable. Thirdly, the paper analyzes the quantitative relationship between the logistics industry and economic development and then measures the logistics industry's contribution to economic growth. Finally, the paper draws a conclusion of the future development of the logistics industry.
