Steel slag has potential hydraulicity. When it is used in concrete composited with blast furnace slag, the composite powder has some advantages, such as reducing hydration heat, improving wearability, work performance and durability of concrete and so on. Used in high performance concrete for pavement construction, it can improve long-term mechanical property, durability, shrinkage properties, anticracking performance of concrete, etc. This method improves work performance of concrete, but it does not change the original construction technology.
