PLANNING AND TEAMWORK AN EXCEPTIONAL LNG START UP

Sempra LNG and a consortium led by Black & Veatch recently completed the Construction, Start-up and Performance testing of the Energia Costa Azul LNG import terminal in Baja California, Mexico. This paper provides an overview of scope of the Energia Costa Azul Project and some of the challenges of constructing and commissioning the Terminal at this location in Baja Mexico. The Paper further describes the collaborative planning process and teamwork that allowed commissioning of this world scale terminal to be accomplished safely and in record time despite the many challenges encountered by the team.
