1. The economic growth entails the increase of power demand;2. Within the next few years, it will become necessary to restore the productive capacities;3. Within the past few years, the investment costs in the scope of power generating installations have increased by ca. 40÷50% on simultaneous extension of the investment performance periods; the balance between demand and supply in the scope of design, execution and construction of new capacities has been disturbed;4. The costs of fossil fuels (such as coal, natural gas) will be increasing due to their limited resources, hence more and more difficult and expensive extraction;5. The necessity of acquiring 100% of CO_2 emission permits (on the price of 38 Euro/Mg) in Poland will cause the increase of power prices by ca. 30 Euro/MWh, i.e. by more than 70% (it is worth mentioning that certain forecasts imply that the permit costs will rise even up to 100 Euro/Mg);6. The forecasted nuclear power generation costs are significantly lower than the costs of energy from fossil fuels.
