Analysis on Chinese University-Enterprise Collaboration Networks of Patent Applications - An Example of Chemical and Metallurgical Patents

The paper analyzes the evolution of Chinese university-enterprise networks of patent applications during a special period. Data of chemistry and metallurgy patents which applied jointly by universities and enterprises were obtained from China's State Intellectual Property Office. The data were applied for the analysis on the evolution of Chinese university-enterprise collaboration networks. Social network analysis method was used to analyze the evolution of Chinese university-enterprise collaboration networks. The findings of this paper are helpful for government to deepen the mechanisms of university-enterprise collaboration.
