It has been proven theoretically and practically that stock market regulation is very important in a developing economy for investor protection and stock market development. This article uses theories from behavioral economics to analyze the influence from enactment of regulatiory policy on market reaction. Results show a substantial influence on investors' behavior from enactment of stock market regulation in China, and different regulations yield significant variations in market reaction.
