The orthogonal test design principle and variance analysis method were used to study a preparation craft of activated rubber powder modified bitumen. The optimal technological parameters were obtained. These parameters were 15% for the dosage of rubber powder, 600w for the microwave radiation power, 2.5 min for the radiation time, and around lh for the stirring time. The performances of activated rubber powder modified bitumen prepared using the proposed preparation craft were tested. The results show the proposed preparation craft can gain high-quality modified bitumen that has a high-temperature stability and low temperature cracking resistance, which are a good guide for preparation of activated rubber powder modified bitumen.
