Carbonaceous adsorbents appear to be a suitable medium for adsorptive storage of natural gas. Preparation procedure of carbonaceous adsorbents using Polish hard coal formed with different binders is described. Samples has been investigated to test its utility in the natural gas storage systems. The packing and piece density of the adsorbent, micropore volume, as well as, volumetric methane uptake become influencing the storage density.
