@@ INTRODUCTIONIn this paper,we design and fabricate 3D scaffoldusing rapid prototyping (RP) technology for tissueengineering.Scaffold should have three-dimensionalinterconnected pore network for cell growth,nutrientdelivery and metabolic waste.We fabricatedpolycaprolactone (PCL) scaffold with interconnectingpores and uniform porosity for cell ingrowth using 3Dplotting system.In order to keep the three dimensionalshape under mechanical loading while implanted,wedesigned an oscillating nozzle system to increasemechanical properties of PCL strand.And wecharacterized the influence of pore geometry andmechanical properties of the scaffold and strand usingSEM, micro-CT,Nano-UTM and dynamicalmechanical analysis (DMA).Finally the cell responseson scaffolds were observed.
