Corona discharge is a popular technology which is mainly applied in modifying the surface of material.In this paper,the pre-heating process was augmented before corona discharge,which mainly improved the efficiency of corona discharge.The surface hydrophilic properties of wool fabric,with and without pre-heating,which were treated with the same corona discharge,were different and the former was better.Enhancing the pre-heating temperature and corona discharge voltage can increase the hydrophilic properties but the high temperature make fabric yellow.Corona discharge combined with pre-heating treatment can get good hydrophilic effect and the water absorption time was less than 1 second.But the thicker one should increase voltage and temperature,and then the water absorption time can be less than 1 second.
