Application of Complexity Science and Network Theory Approach on the Innovation Capabilities of Industrial Clusters——A case study on three industrial clusters of Jiangsu Province

摘要

The industrial clusters can be considered as a complex adaptive system(CAS)．Using complexity theory,we identify three issues that affect the adaptive capacity of industrial clusters，namely the industrial cluster innovation capacity is stronger should all components of the industrial clusters have interconnectivity,the heterogeneity,and medium degree of governance．A case study on three real industrial clusters of Jiangsu Province is carried out to test these theoretical propositions by using the methods of the network theory．
