摘要

It is introduced to the test result, failure appearance and characteristic of 16 lightweight aggregate concrete-filled thin-walled steel box columns (LACTSBC) under axial compression. At the same time, The reinforcement modulus K<,c> is derived considering the effect of the cold curved effect and the effective width. A mechanical model for the concrete filled square steel tubular stub columns is proposed in the paper by amended the equation which were established by Popovics. And the complete stress-strain curve of the type columns is presented by numerical calculation, comparing with experimental result, the theoretical results are in good agreement. In the end, A simplified method is derived based on the model and the results of the experiment. Comparisons are made between the simplified method and the experiment results also show that the simplified method is reliable and feasible 1.
