摘要

A more exactitude C-V method to determine the elastic constants for nematic liquid crystal is discussed. For positive nematic liquid crystal (NLC) ,the threshold voltage becomes uncertain when the pretilt angle is not zero, so the value of k11 must be erroneous. To solve this problem, we repon the formulas about capacitance and voltage with the pretilt angle isn't zero, present the method to determine the elastic constants -k11 and k33 simultaneously by curvefitting. We simulate and analyze the theory of this method in virtue of MatLab. The proposed method can reduce the requirement of LC cell , increase the accuracy.
