Petroleum exploration is a broad domain In southern marine carbonate area of China. But there is only in Sicbuan that obtained commercial oil and gas flow. Through analysis of past years' seismic data, the main problem of southern marine seismic exploration is that complex ground condition and underground structure make seismic data low in signal-to-noise ratio and lack a better seismic reflection stack imaging method. Common reflection surface (CRS) stack Imaging is a method developed recently, which is independent of macro-velocity model. The authors bring forward a method to determine the stacking aperture size of CRS stack based on Fresnel zone. The application in the seismic section of Northeast Sichuan shows that CRS is suitable for the complex oil and gas structures reflection imaging of south marine carbonate areas.
