In the definition of distribution automation system, distribution supervisory SCADA system and geography information system (GIS) are important components of the Distribution Management System (DMS). Now in distribution automation systems used by many electric power companies, there is hardly DMS system with integrated design and with a uniform interface based on supervisory SCADA system and geography information system (GIS). Emphasized on the principal station, this paper puts forward a new DMS system based on integrated design. At the same interface of this new system, the real-time data and history data of SCADA system are seen. At the same time, the line diagram of transformer substation, the system current diagram and other real-time monitor charts are easily drawn out. Moreover, in the new system, the equipment data of GIS system can be transferred to the SCADA system.
