Along with the spread of distribution automation system (DAS), the complexity of analysis and fault process of distribution network is increased. This paper puts forward an iterative software scheme for the analysis and fault process of mid- scale distribution network, which is aimed to handle some complicated situation including multi source supply, simultaneous faults, new faults raised by fault process. The software mainly consists of two parts: measure and protective module, the fault judgment and calculation are initiated for each time of switch position change, so relatively high accuracy and time resolution are achieved. Analysis and application demonstrate that this scheme is stable and reliable.
