摘要

Stress-free clamp design is an important measure to decrease deformation of a large aperture reflector caused by deadweight. This paper analyzes the supporting position by way of a simulating analyze method when a reflector is supported by two different methods, one method is to support at the bottom and the second method is to support on the sides. This paper concludes that the position of the supporting point has a great influence on the deformation of the reflector and the uniformity of the stress. Considering the deformation of a mirror and the uniformity of the stress, the best supporting position should be at the center about 2/3 times of the border length in both methods and the inclined angle of the reflector has the least influence on the system when supported by this way.
