The vacuum of condenser not only affects safety, economy and controlled characteristic but also affects the expenditure of cooling water. With the enhancement of protection consciousness of environment and water resource, the hot pollution and expenditure of water and the corresponding economic loss because of the cooling water can't be ignored. This paper gives methods of determining the optimum vacuum of condenser that takes account of the saving cooling water. The methods can help reduce costs and environment pollution of generating electricity.
