摘要

We propose a Kalman filter-based method to estimate the molten steel surface shape in a continuous casting machine mold. The state-space equations are derived from the surface wave model expressed as the sum of sinusoidal basis functions, and the expansion coefficients of the basis functions are estimated from height information measured by level meters at some points of the mold. The effectiveness of the developed method was verified by demonstration experiments that used a mold water model device.
