Shadow Removal Algorithm for Remote Sensing Imagery

摘要

This work is devoted to the problem of shadow removal from high-resolution remote sensing imagery. We investigated shadow properties in the HSV invariant color space. On the basis of the shadow properties we developed an enhanced algorithm that allows one to find paired shadow and non-shadowed regions of an image. The proposed algorithm shows better results than the previous one.
