Unlimited Safety Productivity - A Finnish Perspective Using Virtual Learning Methods to Improve Quality and Productivity in the Construction Industry

In this paper, we will introduce virtual safety training concept called Virtual Learning Cluster which is consisting of both academic and industrial partners. COVID-19 has generated challenges especially in the vocational training both in the construction industry and in the schools. There is need to produce a large pool of content to tackle above mentioned challenges. Simulandia as a virtual learning environment containing training episodes for 15 professions will be used in this paper as an example of such a pool of content. As a result we will present research roadmap which is divided in four steps focusing on safety and productivity challenges from the usability and user experience experiments towards effectiveness studies.
