All devices of the FACTS type (Flexible Alternative Current Transmission Systems), as well as new technologies of actively adaptive networks, called Smart Grids abroad. The main features of the controllable electric power transmission under consideration are the use of a new type of overhead power transmission lines, which are controlled by devices of regulation reactive power. The concept of FACTS is that the power line ceases to be a passive device for transporting electricity and turns into an active a system involved in controlling the operating modes of the electrical bulk network. The FACTS devices allow controlling the parameters of transmission extra high voltage line that determine the operation of power bulk systems, such as line impedance, current, voltage, phase shift angle between voltages at the ends of the line etc. The use of FACTS devices improves the efficiency of active and reactive power flow control and voltage regulation in the network.
