Parametric Modeling of Envelope Spiroid Based on Simulation Technology

The envelope spiroid is obtained by enveloping with special method on the basis of the traditional spiroid. This paper will take its parametric modeling as the research object, and analyze it from three aspects: cone worm drive characteristics, space meshing theory and tooth surface equation. Firstly, according to the mathematical model of the cone-and-worm drive, the calculation formula of the tooth surface parameters is derived to draw the profile and spiral of the axial section of the cone. Then, combined with the theory of cone-worm drive meshing, the parametric worm gear is parametrically designed. Finally, based on the parametric design function of Pro/E, the corresponding cone-worm worm gear model is obtained through the simulation process. The method used in this paper can realize the accurate modeling of the cone-and-worm worm gear, which is the premise of the subsequent research.
