Antenna operating in vibration environments would induce interference on the transmitted signals and this interference could degrade the performance of the M-ary quadrature amplitude modulation (M-QAM) wireless communication system. This paper presents an analysis and calculation model based on signal vector representation concepts to analyze the impact mechanism of antenna vibration on system performance. According to the proposed model, we derive closed-form expressions of symbol error rate (SER) of M-QAM system with vibrating antenna considering additive white Gaussian noise channel. Experiment results of simulation using Monte Carlo method verify the correctness of this model. It is show that due to the impact of vibrating antenna, the performance of M-QAM system with higher carrier frequency and modulation order deteriorates worse. This research provides a simple and convenient approach to estimate the performance of wireless system with vibrating antenna and has certain guiding significance to the wireless network planning.
