The main contents of the course “Mathematical Basis of Information Security” are: division, congruence of integers, square residue, primitive root and index, group, ring and field, elliptic curve group, large integer decomposition, discrete logarithm and so on. Its characteristic is: the theory is strong, the logic is high, the school hour is short (graduate student course 32 hours). In the information and digital era, according to the national emergency plan of public health emergency, this paper discusses the “MOOC” teaching method of “Mathematical Basis of Information Security” for graduate students. The characteristics of MOOC teaching include: large-scale, open, free and network. The brand-new teaching mode of “MOOC” has become an important way to reform the traditional classroom teaching mode in colleges and universities. This paper proposes a mixed online and offline MOOC teaching model. In particular, this paper aims to carry out innovative multi-level teaching, and to improve the “Mathematical Basis of Information Security” education and teaching effect for graduate students.
