To study the effect of airborne particles on three-dimensional total electric field under UHVDC transmission lines, ground total electric field of ±1100 kV DC transmission lines is calculated by the flux line method on the basis of the charging process of atmospheric particles and the forced motion and the influence mechanism of particles on ionized field. And the influences of particle diameter, spacing and the size of existence domain are calculated and analyzed. The results show that particles have significant distortion effect on the ground total electric field, and the peak value in the field intensity enhancement region can reach 2-3 times of the original. The particle diameter, spacing and existence domain also have different effects on the distribution of ground total electric field. The study provides the corresponding data support and theory basis for the construction and operation of transmission lines in the area of mountain fires when considering particles.
