A novel bandstop filter with wide bandstop, high rejection band and low insertion loss is proposed. By designing complementary split Ring resonators defected ground structure(CSRR DGS) and loading open stubs line, the broadband bandstop characteristics and improvement of out-band supression can be achieved. The performance of CSRR structure is simulated by the high frequency simulation software HFSS. Then a design of bandstop filter with cascaded CSRR and loaded open stubs is achieved. The results show that the maximum stopband depth reaches 45dB, and the relative bandwidth of the bandstop width less than -10 dB is ranging from 3GHz to 14.5GHz. The low frequency insertion loss of passband is limited within 1dB.
