At this stage. PPy particles appear promising for wireless bioelectronics applications, however palladium deposition will be confirmed using SEM. PPy has also been used in other biological applications, suggesting biocompatibility will be achieved. Au particles also show promise, and again should show good biocompatibility as they have been used in biological applications such as photo thermal therapy. ScreenMag and SiCore particles appear to be affected by electrical stimulation and so will not be taken further. Completion of biocompatibility studies will confirm the suitability of these nanoparticles, before in vivo studies will be carried out within C. Elegans.
