It is necessary to stimulate osteoprogenitor cells in bone to augment bone formation to treat bone disease and injury. In particular, P-catenin agonists have great potential but require careful control over doses and exposure times to ensure reproducible therapeutic efficacy. This work explored the agonist AR28 for stimulating osteogenesis. Continuous dosing using hydrolytically degradable hydrogel depots that achieved pseudo zero-order release enhanced osteogenic markers, including ALP.
