1. The TCSC process offers an attractive path for removal of H_2S while producing valuable products—H_2 and sulfur. 2. Sulfidation of FeS is operating under kinetically controlled regime. 3. Addition of MoS_2 to FeS improves the sulfidation reaction conversion by 15-25%. 4. DFT calculation shows that dehydrogenation of the second HS group on surface is rate limiting step (RLS) during sulfidation and addition of dopant helps to decrease the activation energy barrier. Future work: 1. Determination of sulfur capture efficiency of materials in reducing gas atmosphere (CO, CH_4, H_2).
