To quantitatively evaluate the environmental safety of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), an improved Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method is proposed. First, the House of Quality (HOQ) is applied to refine the environmental safety requirements of the UAVs used in different application scenarios, and sort out the corresponding environmental stresses to summarize the relevant design characteristics. Second, the specific levels of design characteristics are obtained through tests, and compared with the standard technical level. After integrating the technical importance, the quantitative evaluation of the environmental safety of the UAV is finally realized. The method is applied to a power inspection drone, and the environmental safety score of the drone is 6.78. Therefore, the method satisfies the actual market demand and provides a new means for the safety evaluation of UAVs.
