Strategic Decisions Selection Methods in HealthCare: A Systematic Literature Review

Multiple strategic decisions are made in any lifetime business. Each strategic decision is an output of a sharp selection process that aims to pick the most convenient strategy for a certain organization. Therefore, the selection method used to carry out this process is of paramount importance. This research paper seeks to analyze the existing research papers on strategic decision selection methods, by solely focusing on the Healthcare sector. To help achieve the abovementioned goals, we conducted a systematic literature review that encompassed a total of 77 studies relevant to strategic decision selection methods in Healthcare. The search included papers published from 1988 till 2017 and didn't exclude any type of the existing analytical methods. The most common analytical method used is Multi-criteria Decision Aid, where the site location selection is the health care research area that has a considerable number of publications. However, the application of the retrieved methods has been significantly changing since the last decades. The results are expected to guide healthcare decision makers in their strategic decision making process.
