摘要

Recently Android based smart phones become an attractive gadget for malevolent attacks. Executing malicious payload in the background without a user's consent exercises huge amount of battery power and also causes immense heat. As a result, the life time of the battery culverts greatly. In this paper, we presented a behavior-based monitoring mechanism to monitor the Intent and API calls being used by an android application. The battery consumption of the application has been monitored before and after its installation. If deviation occurs, it's used permissions and API calls exercised are checked and alert message will be raised to warn the user. The experimental results confirm that the tasks being executed is directly affect its battery power usage our mechanism can accurately detect and terminate malicious applications.
