1. ASs in YBC is mainly composed of straight alkanes, branched alkanes, alkyl ketone, and biomarkers. Carbon numbers of the alkanes ranged from 11 to 40 and their contents showed normal distribution. 2. T_(in), T_f, and T_(max) presented lognormal distribution, while R_(max) and D_j exhibited linear relation with heating rate increased from 5 up to 1000 °C min_(-1). 3. As the reaction proceeded, the E_a increased from 63.6 to 169.3 kJ mol_(-1) under the low heating rate level. 4 Heating rate had no influence on the E_a during thermal decomposition of ASs, while it could alter the reaction order of compounds with different bond energies in ASs.
