摘要

Controlling either the pre-incubation temperature and pre-aging time in coacervate phase results in different sizes of supramolecular assembled vesicles. This study gives fundamental and practical insights into understanding how the protein coacervates grow and assemble into organized structures. A mathematical model discussed in this study can also be generally applicable to a wide range of proteins that form high-order assembled structures from pre-existing coacervates. Current applications include developing artificial cells with multi-compartment structures from recombinant proteins containing functional domains.
