摘要

We conclude that β peptide loaded PEMs offer a novel and promising localized approach for local inhibition of bacterial colonization and biofilm formation from the surface of Ti-based orthopedic implants. Furthermore, the ease of fabrication for the PEMs reported here provides the opportunity for coating the surfaces of other medical- related devices (e.g dental implants) that are also prone to biofilm-associated infections.
