In this study, nonporous and porous semi-IPN SMPs of cross-linked PCL-DA and thermoplastic PLLA were prepared. In addition to other requisite properties for regeneration, it was found that the inclusion of PLLA increased the rigidity of the scaffolds. Semi-IPN scaffold degradation rate was also accelerated and highly controllable, providing the ability to tailor degradation with tissue regeneration. In future work, the healing potential of the semi-IPN SMPs will be investigated.
